Toddlers (18 months through 3 years) Future Scholars Montessori Academy recognizes that the Toddler years are critical for the development of the child. Therefore, the Shamrock room has been designed to accommodate the growing needs of its occupants. FSMA Toddler program caters to children from 18 months through 3 years of age. The teachers focus on teaching the Toddlers how to belong to a community while at the same time developing their own personalities. At this stage, the children develop most of their personalities, enhance their mobility, improve gross and fine motor skills. The Toddlers learn life skills, such as indoor voices, walking feet, carrying trays, pouring, spooning, etc. They use their own tendencies to learn to enjoy learning. FSMA teachers provide a nurturing, safe and comfortable atmosphere, while igniting the children's natural curiosity and desire to learn. |
